Sheet to Petticoat

Two weeks from now I was supposed to be going to a Victorian-themed event. I wanted to make a new outfit, a riding habit that I've longed to have for years. Due mainly to the wedding, I was very behind and not going to have my new outfit. But now the event has been postponed.

Which is a good thing, because all I've managed to make is a petticoat! From a $3 double flat sheet courtesy of a Bathurst op-shop, I now have a natural form petticoat (a Truly Victorian pattern) and some fabric left over! Nice.

A bit of ironing and removing gathering stitches left to go, but it's basically finished.
